Control system update for the largest lime producer in Malaysia

RCI Lime Sdn Bhd, (belonging to the Rock Chemical Industries (Malaysia) Bhd. group partner of Aalborg Portland Cement for white cement production in Malaysia), has awarded to Cimprogetti a contract for the upgrade of the software and hardware of the Control System (HMI) concerning the kilns #4 & #5 and the hydration plant #1.

RCI Lime Sdn Bhd, a prominent Cimprogetti’s customer since 2001, has developed at Ipoh site a complete lime production plant featuring no. 4 Twin shaft vertical kilns mod. Twin-D  and Flex Reversy for a total nominal production of 1500 tpy quicklime and no.2 hydration & classification units. The largest use of lime is in steel manufacturing, as a flux to remove impurities (silica, phosphorus, and sulfur).
